AUDIO: "Cab Drivers are being Pushed to the Wall Again": Airport Raises Taxi Fees
The Philadelphia International Airport Authority is raising the egress fee for all taxis working at the airport. The increase, which would raise the fee from $1.50 to $2.25, is slated to go into effect at the end of March. Unified Taxi Workers Alliance is concerned that this additional charge to the customer will make cabs too expensive for average people in this difficult economy, and ultimately decrease business. Patrick Anamah gives a brief update about the situation and the UTWA's organized response. Listen to the segment below for the full report. Listen now!
