WATCH: Temple nurses take it to Washington

Nurses and techs from Temple University Hospital joined fellow members of the National Nurses United Union in Washington DC last week to rally and advocate for nurse to patient ratios.

PASNAP, the nurse's local here in Philadelphia, won a contract fight against Temple University Health Systems after a month long strike in April.

At the center of that fight was Temple's attempt to place a "gag clause" in the nurse's contract, which could have been used to silence their union organizing and their healthcare advocacy work.

The Real News brings us this video about nurses' national push for safer patient care.
